We know the IT world there are some terms on the distribution of the Licensed software.Ada term, free, and open source.Masing each term has a meaning, for it means the software licensed under an authorized company which is usually paid or not gratis.Kemudian term Free , the term free software is a good means of the software itself as well as free distribution and not paid but can not be developed in private
and the latter is Open Source which means freedom in the distribution of free software and the use and modification of software tersebut.Jadi for open source software can be developed in accordance with the wishes us.So, now is the term Open Source is often arise in the world, especially concerning IT.Now a daysis like system problems that we know the Open Source operating system based on the current OS is Open Source and free Linux.Althought Linux OS is not inferior to OS Windows.it's paid as is evidenced by the increasing number of users and a growing number of software applications development is also of the LINUX OS.Yesterday I had read about the OS Open Source and turns of several linux distros there are two distributions that are crowded compared the distributions of Linux Mint and Ubuntu. In reality between Linux Mint and Ubuntu is not much different. From some information I can from the internetthe release of Linux Mint in 2006, aims to produce a modern operating system, both elegant and comfortable, powerful and easy digunakan.Dan Linux Mint is now the most widely used operating system after Microsoft Windows Operating System, Apple Mac OS and Canonical Ubuntu. Some of the reasons for the success of Linux Mint are:
- Linux Mint works out of the box, with full multimedia support and very easy to use.
- Linux Mint is free and open source.
- Users are encouraged to send feedback to the project so that their ideas can be used to improve the Linux Mint.
- Based on Debian and Ubuntu, it provides around 30,000 packets and one of the best software managers.
- It's safe and reliable. Thanks to the conservative approach to software updates, Update Manager unique architecture and the robustness of Linux, Linux Mint requires very little maintenance (no regression, no antivirus, no anti-spyware, etc.).
Another with Ubuntu.Ubuntu it's fast, safe and simple style, the Ubuntu operating system used by 20 million people around the world every day.But Ubuntu recommends the users to update all the packages and move to a new version using the update method based on APT. The resulting problem is characterized as a temporary problem which can be determined with future updates.whereas, Linux Mint advised not to upgrade packages that can attack the determination of the system and recommend the use of the reserve policy.
And you can look of distribution of Linux Distro.
